Acupuncture was developed over a thousand years ago and is one of the oldest forms of medical therapy that exists. Acupuncture has a neurological effect which includes stimulating blood flow. Originally the ancient Chinese determined that needles stimulated the body’s energy or “qi” (pronounced ch-EE) in a way to create balance within the body. The qi flows through the body via channels or pathways which includes acupuncture points.
Our acupuncturist, Chris, has had an interest in Chinese medicine ever since he found relief utilizing this healing art-form. He is incredibly passionate about the results that acupuncture can produce. It can be combined with other forms of treatment such as chiropractic and massage. It is a proven method to treat pain and other conditions without medication.
